The brilliance of Chevrolet engineering is demonstrated by the automaker’s dominance on the racetrack. At the Auto Club Speedway, skilled driver Alex Bowman earned the first win of the 2020 season for Chevrolet. His fellow Chevy drivers, Kurt Busch and Chase Elliott, followed close behind in third and fourth place, respectively.
Together, these three Chevrolet racers dominated the competition. Bowman and his fellow Chevy drivers held the lead for 127 laps of the 200-lap event. However, it’s no surprise that Bowman was the one who brought home the prize — he was the fastest racer during the practice rounds as well.
Each Chevy racer is equipped with a finely tuned Camaro. Bowman praised the Camaro for its new body design and versatility, while Busch commented that Chevrolet models boast an ideal blend of speed and endurance. He also noted that competing models seemed to start sluggishly, unlike the energetic Camaro.
You can get a taste of this high-performance power — the 2020 Camaro offers a Supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 650 horsepower alongside 650 lb-ft of torque. This beast can rocket from 0-60 to just 3.5 seconds.
