2021 Chevrolet Suburban

The 2021 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are back, helping to raise the bar for the full-size SUV segment. These two models are entering a new generation, which means there are some changes you should know about.

These changes include a new inline-six diesel engine option, a push-button shifter, and the models’ first-ever independent rears suspension for a smoother ride. With these new additions, along with a sportier style, General Motors believes that these two SUVs will continue their domination of their segment.

“To prepare for this launch, we’ve invested more than $1.4 billion in Arlington since 2015, including an all-new paint shop, body shop, and many other state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “Which leads to my final point: the reason we invested all of that and worked so hard to develop these new SUVs – we are here to win.”

The Chevy Tahoe sales currently account for 31% of the full-size SUV segment, while the Suburban is 15%, highlighting how Chevrolet leads this particular class of vehicles.

For the 2021 model year, the Tahoe and Suburban see some space increases and improved driving dynamics. The cargo space behind the Tahoe’s third row grew by 66 percent, while the Suburban gets 19% more room behind its first-row seats. Along with this, the SUV-focused interior offers up to five display screens throughout the cabin, while boasting a best-in-class nine camera views and trailering features.
